Modified Transcript of “Charlotte Traffic Law Attorney” for the Hearing Impaired:
Paying off a speeding ticket without talking to an attorney is really not a good idea.
It doesn’t mean that you can’t end up with a good result representing yourself and there are certain speeding tickets where having a lawyer is both not necessary and frankly a waste of time or money, but attorneys in traffic and criminal law generally offer a free confidential consultation.
Rather than take a chance why don’t you just ask a couple of questions. When I handle a traffic matter in a way our firm handles traffic matters whether it is speeding or some other moving violation, is we ask a series of questions.

We want to know what is on your prior record. We want to know what else is on people within your household and your insurance premiums prior records.
We want to know about moving violations that you are convicted of. Moving violations that maybe you went driving school on and finally we want to know about direct history. It’s not that simple.
There is no such things as simple traffic ticket. It is really, really complicated and I find it amazing that people will take a chance with a simple traffic ticket and just get whacked with insurance and motor vehicle points when it wasn’t necessary at all.

An experience attorney is going to take a look at the case, it doesn’t take very long. Ask you some very, very direct important questions and tell you whether or not they could help you.
In many instances, it is actually less expensive retaining council. Having them handle the case in abstentia, in your absence, if possible and maybe giving you some peace of mind knowing that your insurance carrier is not going to jack your rates or even drop you from the policy or even lose your license in certain circumstances.
Give us a ring. We are here to help.
